Why did you decide to do a boudoir session?
Well I turned 40 and felt like it was something that I was ready for... I was always a bit awkward about my body and I'd finally worked hard to get a nice figure and wanted to prove to myself how physically beautiful I really am!
How were you feeling before your shoot? Any thoughts going through your head?
I was a little nervous but more curious as it was a new experience for me. I looked forward to being made up with hair and make up and wondered how the day would unfold as a model!
Now that you've had your own photo shoot, how was it?
It was a fantastic experience and I feel empowered. I learned just how difficult it can be to pull-off a pose, a bit like exercise and my body wasn't use to being in some of the positions I wanted to be photographed in! I now have a new appreciation for models out there!
What would you say to someone considering doing a boudoir shoot?
Absolutely do it. It can help you to love yourself more and show you the beauty within which is displayed in the outside world. Follow the guidelines that Sydney Glamour provide because it will make the most of your gorgeous skin in great natural lighting. It is an empowering experience and something you will appreciate yourself for.
Is there anything we could do to make this experience completely perfect?
No, even though a few of my photos show my hair needing a bit of a throw over, I wouldn't change the fact that I was posing for my first time, being completely myself without being "fixed" for the camera. It was raw and it is me.
