FAQ: What are the different styles of boudoir photography that you can do in a session?

Before every photoshoot we ask our clients what their comfort level is in terms of nudity just to make sure boundaries are in place during the shoot and there are no awkward misunderstandings.

It’s totally up to you to decide how far you want to go and you can always change your mind during the shoot. We will put absolutely no pressure on you to go past your comfort zone.

Our job is to give you the opportunity to explore your own boundaries. Boudoir photography is not about stripping off in front of the camera but to empower you to feel sexy, beautiful and powerful regardless of what you are wearing.

A sexy photoshoot can mean different things to different people so we break it down to different levels of nudity. Words are open to interpretation when it comes to boudoir styles so we’ll show you some images to explain.

Sexy Glamour

Dressed up with little skin showing, can be formal, playful or sexy casual or whatever you really want. Think formal dress or jeans and a tank top, sheer blouses, sexy skirts with a split or even your favourite workout gear.

Bridal boudoir

A bridal boudoir photoshoot is just like any other boudoir shoot except that we like to incorporate some wedding props into the photoshoot such as the garter, wedding shoes, white lingerie and the veil. Otherwise it’s exactly the same and you can mix any style of shoot into a wedding boudoir session. The goal is the create a sexy gift for your fiancée that he won’t forget anytime soon ;)

Classic lingerie boudoir.

No nudity and can be sweet and sexy or sensual and provocative. Think 2 piece sets, body suits, garter belt and stockings and of course some killer heels.

Implied topless

While you are actually topless we keep enough hidden to create a sexy sensual image without showing nipples.
Great for sideboob and underboob shots.

Topless boudoir

Topless with breasts and nipples showing. Topless photos can be subtle or make a statement.

Implied nude boudoir

Implied nudity is actually very subtle. The images really focus on highlighting the curves and shapes of your body while at the same time hiding any private parts. Poses include lots of laying down on your stomach and images from the back.
It’s creates a very sexy and sensual image without revealing too much.

Full nudity

Artistic and tasteful nudes that still leave a little to the imagination. Usually we shoot this in black and white to just focus on the form and shape and not to be distracted by colour.

Erotica Boudoir

Images are more suggestive and of a sexual nature. Including implied sexual activity. It’s rally up to your own imagination what you can do.
Usually shot in black and white to focus on expressions and just keep it a bit more artistic.
